Making career decisions can be complex and everyone manages this process in their own way. It makes sense to take control of your career pathway - so learning how to make effective career decisions is crucial. It will help you to:

  • recognise your values and interests
  • utilise the resources available to you
  • manage and take control of your career
  • adapt to change
  • take advantage of career opportunities as they arise.

Job Outlook provides information about Australian careers, labour market trends and employment projections. Contains career quiz, career profiles, future outlook and allows you to explore careers in demand where you live. 

Job Jumpstart can assist you in your job search and help you build your employability skills using 4 themes: dream a little, be practical, make it happen and on the job. 

Australian Apprenticeships provide quick and easy access to information regarding Australian Apprenticeships.

Career Bullseye

School subjects you like and jobs they can lead to!

The Career Bullseye posters can help students choose their school subjects based on what jobs they can lead to. The Bullseye posters reflect possible career options and training requirements for 33 subjects. Four different circles represent the different levels of training you have to undertake to get that job:

Level 1: Finishing Year 10, SACE, Certificate I or II level qualification
Level 2: Certificate III or IV level qualification or at least 3 years relevant experience
Level 3: Diploma or Advanced Diploma
Level 4: Completion of a Bachelor Degree or higher qualification
